Tarawera

Hot water beach on Lake Tarawera is accessible only by boat. A cluster of lakes is found near Lake Rotorua: Rotoma, Rotoiti, Tarawera, the Blue Lake and many other smaller lakes all fully stocked with trout. A fishing licence costs $12 a year; but fly casting is not easy to learn because it is an art.
